A guess that wastes $millions on a truly massive and ineffective noise wall that has zero effect on complaints. Our analysis of the news broadcast soundtrack proved that the wall could not work. 2 minutes of diagnosis would have saved $millions... It's very easy to avoid this common problem.

The diagnostic processes that must always be followed are detailed below. Whilst I’ve focussed on complaints about existing noise issues, the same process is also applicable to noise specifications. Unless this process has been followed, any mitigation advice is based on wasteful guesswork.
The technology exists to resolve most environmental noise complaints quickly, cheaply, and sustainably. The failure to do so is not a technical problem, it is a failure of professional competence. It is time to stop paying for their mistakes.
