1 Day IOSH Noise Measurement & Management Best Practice Workshop

Noise training - measurement and management workshop

The HSE expectations with respect to occupational noise under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations are often misunderstood, resulting in inefficient or poor compliance. This workshop provides delegates who do not need the full IOSH competency training with a pragmatic guide to current “best practice” in risk management, including basic noise measurement so delegates can carry out quick and accurate checks against the regulatory Action Levels.

It is also an ideal update for those with experience of assessing and managing noise as it provides practical information on the latest guidance and the improvements in quality and efficiency that can be made by using the latest techniques.

Location: This course is scheduled and organised by IOSH directly, but delivered by the INVC. Public courses take place at various locations around the country, including our head office in Slough. It can also be delivered in-house. See the dates and locations tab for the 2020 schedule.

Course outline: Designed for Health and Safety professionals, managers and engineers involved in assessing or managing the risks from noise in the workplace and who need to be able to carry out simple noise measurements and update company procedures to match HSE expectations.

Learning objectives and outcomes:  provide delegates with the practical knowledge and skills necessary for them to be able to carry out basic noise measurements and to understand what constitutes best practice in noise measurement and risk management.

Accreditation: IOSH Certification of Attendance
Qualification: N/A: 2 CPD Points
Relevant regulations: The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
